Website for Tender Heart Songs
I have begun working with a web designer on a special site just for my lullaby CD. The goal was to have it up and running by end of November. This was overly optimistic. :0) In the meantime, you can visit the pretty placeholder page at http://www.tenderheartsongs.com
Tender Heart Songs out in the world
Great news! Tender Heart Songs is now available at two Toronto baby stores. Diaper-eez on Bloor St. West of Runnymede, and Marlene's Babies on Dupont St.
Family Gathering a big success!
The CD's arrived late Friday afternoon, and Saturday I drove north to see the folks. I presented a scrap book to my sister about the whole adventure of making Tender Heart Songs... and then i gave her the CD. There were lots of tears and hugs! Then the whole family listened to the recording for the first time. It was a great night.
Baby's here. New CD?... Any day now.
It's October 8th, 2010 and...I'm an auntie again! My little nephew Benjamin was born and Mom and baby are both in great shape. I have my fingers crossed that the CD's will be delivered in time for our family gathering next week.
Time to Press the CD
Whew! The graphic design went through many, many edits. Thank goodness for Nathaly's creativity - and patience. Now it's complete, and I've just put in the order for the first pressing of 1000 CDs. Very exciting!
Graphic Design for Tender Heart Songs
Mixing and mastering is done now and it turned out beautifully! The lullaby collection is called Tender Heart Songs. I'm working with a wonderful graphic designer named Nathaly Costa. There's a lot involved. Sourcing pictures, deciding on fonts, colour palette, content... fascinating process.
A New Recording!
How's this for something different? This week (starting August 29th) I went into the studio to record an original collection of lullabies. What an amazing experience! George Koller producing and on bass, Kevin Barrett playing guitars and my dear friend Liz Radzick playing the flute. We recorded at Number Nine Audio on Gerrard Street in Toronto. Great vibe. You feel like you're in the livingroom at home. The genesis of this project was as a gift for my sister who is pregnant with her second child. I'm so excited to give this to her!
